We all want to be number one in Google. We all want the kudos and credit of reaching the pinnacle, it is like reaching the top of Mount Everest ... well it seems like it sometimes. But is this a realistic result given the amount of time you have to manage your internet marketing yourself, or the budget that you have for outsourcing this to companies like ours?
You need to be prepared to accept that the more competitve your industry and the further afield you want to sell your products the harder this result is going to be to achieve. It is no different to trying to advertise via traditional methods, to the whole of Australia.
One of our first jobs is to listen to your expectations and then provide you with the options for achieving these expectations. Sometimes it may mean informing you that you have no real chance, but we need to be honest.
There are a lot of guarantees flying around about guaranteeing you page 1 of Google, but read the fine print and make sure that you stay in charge of the campaign. Most of these companies will guarantee that at least 50% of your keywords will get you on to page 1, but you need to make sure that 100% of these keywords actually relate to your business and in fact are a search term that people are using to find your business.
